CATTARAUGUS CUTLERY CO LITTLE VALLEY NY. No pattern number marked, but this is a pattern # 12839. Swell center folding hunter, lockback, 5-1/4 closed.

This pattern is often referred to as the King of the Woods with the lockback and folding guard. Brass liners, nickel silver pins. Old style hand-peened handle pins. Blade has strong snap, great lockup, slight side to side wobble. The folding guard functions properly, has slight up and down movement when the blade is open.

Amazing jigged brown bone handles, no cracks or damage. Used, carried, and sharpened, the blade shows minor sharpening marks and has been cleaned and polished a bit.

Bolsters and backspring have patina. One of the premier Cattaraugus patterns, a great old knife with character! The knife shown in the photos is the exact knife that you will receive.
