This highly curved blade sword is hand forged from folded high carbon steel creating over 2,200 steel layers, Sanmai clay tempered, and sharpened using traditional Japanese methods. These methods create an extremely strong, resilient, flexible and razor sharp top-of-the-line blade with a genuine wave Hamon line. The accessories & fittings of the sword are all quality and in character, from the genuine ray-skin & silk handle, hardwood scabbard, to the solid brass sword fittings. This full tang Katana is flexible, very resilient and glides through the air with ease. It's a real pleasure to use and you can be sure of the absolute highest degree of sword steel technology built into this sword. The sword will be delivered with handle shrink wrapped in plastic for safe transport (see photos), and sharp enough to slice thin paper, bamboo stems, grass matting & more.
