Manufactured by Böhler-Uddeholm, K390 MICROCLEAN® is a state-of-the-art cold work tool steel produced by the particle metallurgy process. Its advanced alloy mix was specifically developed to provide the extreme wear resistance and high compressive strength needed in industrial cutting, blanking, and punching operations. Despite its toughness, its exceptionally fine, homogeneous microstructure also makes it readily machinable and easy to heat treat.

Collectively, these qualities make K390 an outstanding blade material for true steel connoisseurs. Fully flat ground K390 tool steel comes in a modified drop point with a razor sharp plain edge and stunning satin finish. Spyderco's ambidextrous Round Hole opener makes for smooth, easy, one hand operation.

Spyderco's Bi-directional textured FRN in Dark Cyan Blue offers exceptional traction in the hand with contoured edges and an ergonomic design that delivers comfort in the hand until the job is done. Bohler K390 is a cold work tool steel made with 3rd Generation particle metallurgy processing specifically developed to provide the extreme wear resistance and high compressive strength needed in industrial cutting, blanking, and punching operations.
