Vintage Cattaraugus King of the Woods Coke Bottle Folding Lock Back Knife 12839

  

Very nice vintage Cattaraugus Cutlery 12839 King of the Woods knife. Blade measures 4 1/8" inches long and the handle measures 5 1/4" inches. Measures 9 3/8" inches when opened and 5 1/4" inches when closed.

Blade has obviously been sharpened and has been used, the tip of the blade seems a bit blunt to me but this could possibly have been the way these knives were made. The handle on the shield side looks to be in very good condition, the other side looks to have a small fracture but is still there.

The number 12839 is stamped on the tang of the blade. The bolsters of the blade have some small dings and scratches. The blade does have a little wobble while opened. Knife comes with a pocket clip and chain due to it obviously being an every day carry knife by its previous owner.
